Important Shipping Info

Live beetles and/or larvae MUST be shipped using USPS Priority or UPS 3-day at a minimum to ensure their safe arrival.  If you are purchasing a combination of live animals and other products we can chat to determine the best, most cost effective option to deliver your order SAFELY.  Generally speaking, the faster the shipping the better for beetles or larvae.  

Beetles are fairly sensitive to temperature fluctuations so ensuring their safety is key.  During winter I ship with heat packs and during summer I use ice packs.  Neither of these will last a terribly long time so during times of extreme temperature I cannot guarantee a safe arrival unless you ship overnight.  Although I do my best to keep them safe by using temperature controlled environments with heat or ice packs and by using styrofoam and/or foil type of insulation we cannot provide a live arrival guarantee unless you use an overnight shipping service.  

Of course it is your choice to ship with slower services than overnight but LAG (Live Arrival Guarantee) can only be provided for overnight/next day shipping services.  Please consider this when shipping live animals.  If the weather is within a 50˚- 75˚F range it tends to be safer to ship with cheaper, longer service intervals.  If you live in close proximity to Southern California it is reasonable to use a cheaper service like USPS Priority or even Ground Shipping without too much worry since shipping will be reasonably quick regardless.  Please contact me beforehand to determine the best choice for your purchases.
